New Balance 2002R 'Protection Pack Phantom'

This is my first pair of New Balance shoes, and overall, they look great. The design is irresistible—wearing them makes you feel like a trendsetter. The sizing is accurate, and they're easy to pair with outfits, showing off your personal style. The material isn't very water-resistant, but they're soft and comfortable, making them perfect for summer outings. The fit is just right—not too soft, not too firm—and they're quite lightweight to wear.

The 2002r is a really versatile shoe that feels comfortable to wear. It's not overly soft, so walking for long periods doesn't feel tiring. I was torn between the Cloud and Grey and this one, since NB's grey is definitely the most classic, but the black gives off a more mysterious vibe. The Phantom Black has a premium feel that grows on you the more you look at it. This model, designed in collaboration with a Chinese designer, features a distressed design that gives it a deep, sophisticated look. The combination of long and short pile adds to its premium and vintage feel, while the burgundy accents really stand out. The fit is great and comfortable, though the mesh design at the front might make it a bit cold for winter—it's probably best suited for spring or autumn. The bounce is decent, and the stability is good too, making it suitable for light jogging. In terms of maintenance, I think it's easier to take care of than the grey version. The price used to be quite high due to hype, but with NB consistently restocking, it's now a great deal. If you like it, it's definitely worth checking out.
